Donit is a personal productivity app published by Sahil Sharma Studio for Android (and iOS). We have designed it to keep your data on your device. This policy explains what that means and the few exceptions to it.
The app keeps a single SQLite database on your phone for:
This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly export it via Settings → Backup → Export data. The export creates a JSON file you control through the system share sheet.
In production builds, the app uses Sentry to capture crash reports. These reports include the error message and stack trace, plus anonymous device metadata (OS version, device model, locale, app version) generated by the operating system. They do not include your name, your routines, your habits, your completion logs, or any other personal content.
The app schedules local notifications on your device using the operating system. No notification content is sent to or through any server. Disable notifications at any time from your device’s system settings.
The app is suitable for users 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect any data from children, because — as described above — we do not collect data at all.
Because we do not store your data on any server, there is nothing for
us to delete, export, or correct on your behalf. You control your data
directly: export it from Settings → Backup → Export data,
or delete it from Settings → Danger zone → Reset everything
or by uninstalling the app.
If this policy materially changes, we will update it here and bump the effective date above.
